PANDA'S NEW CHAPEAU

This is Panda's new hat. It's really to help protect her eyes from the sun. It might work too (if she'll wear it).

I just wish she wouldn't think that wearing it was some kind of punishment.

If Looks Could Kill

I don't think Panda likes the scarf. What do you think?

Panda and the Giant Towel
(aka An excellent reason to cover the furniture)

Panda just had her bath and she's drying herself on the carpet, the couch or anything else she can rub her face against.

She really works hard at it.

...and now she's pooped or maybe pouting. I can't tell which.

Panda's New Playmate

Panda & Tiva

I'm not sure if Panda was watching me because she was protecting me or because she wanted me to protect her. I think it was a toss up. She's sure one tired pup tonight.

The hammering in the background is Roger and Josh working on the landing in the garage.

A couple of weeks ago we had high winds with gusts up to 50 MPH. You can tell that Panda was not too thrilled.

Photo Opportunity

Roger is always looking for a way to make his photography unique. This is a view of Panda that I don't think you'll see too often...

She's been scanned, now all she needs is her Lab test...

My Favorite Toy

I had my weekly bath today. After my snack (for being a good dog) I played with my favorite toy.

Most times I return the toy so Mom can throw again. I really do love to chase it. But, sometimes I like to tease Mom and see if I can get her to chase me.

I still love to chase birds but Mom has found a way to handle my 'free spirit'.

I just love chicken (chicken anything - maybe that's why I chases the birds) and I now have a dog treat (chicken of course) that is supposed to appeal to the culinary tastes of dogs. Evidently it works. I will sit on command (sometimes before the command) and will also lie down and stand up for the treats.

My Mom put some in a baggie and takes them outside with us when we go for our ritual walks. Mom lets me run all I want. When Mom calls me I know it's time to come in and arrive posthaste because I know she is going to give me one of my 'good dog' treats. If I'm not good I don't get one and I wouldn't want to miss out because I lloovve my treats.

I'm getting used to Dad but I'm still not ready to take care of business without Mom being in line of sight. Maybe one day I will but, I'm not ready for that yet.

After the Bath - Wall to Wall

Wednesday

Yesterday Dad was teaching me how to read the newspaper. I really think it would be more fun if he would wad it up into a ball and throw it for me so I could tear it apart. Now that would be fun.

Today Mom gave me a bath. I didn't even get into the black squishy stuff but, she said I was dirty and needed a bath. I really don't care for the bath. In fact, I really think I could learn to hate it. But, Mom told me she wouldn't allow me on the bed anymore unless I got a bath so I let her bathe me.

I get sort of cold after I get out of the big tub. Mom dries me with this big noisy machine that spits out hot air. The hot air feels good except it doesn't dry me fast enough to keep me from shivering. I try to look forlorn in hopes that Mom will not give me any more baths but I don't think she's buying it.

The best part about the whole thing is when she's finished I get a treat. That's my favorite thing. Or, maybe the belly scratching is my favorite thing or maybe sitting in Mom's lap. Oh, and then there's chasing birds. Yea, I think chasing birds is my favorite thing. Do I have too many favorite things?
